Beyond the Listing Photos: Why Virtual & 3D Tours Are Now Non-Negotiable

A person with a VR headset is experiencing a virtual tour of a house exterior and interior; a blueprint of the house is displayed in the background.

We have provided information on the cost of launching an MVP for three projects of varying levels of complexity, enabling you to compare what each project entails.

FAQ

Does the cost of a 3D tour make sense for an average, mid-market home, or is it just for luxury listings?

It absolutely makes sense. While luxury listings use it for grandeur, mid-market listings use it for efficiency. The cost of a 3D scan is often less than the cost of your time wasted on two or three "unqualified" physical showings. It filters out the tire-kickers effectively.

Doesn't providing a complete digital twin create security or privacy concerns for the seller?

This is a valid question. Modern platforms allow us to blur personal photos, documents, or valuables within the scan before publishing. Furthermore, the transparency tends to attract serious, verified buyers rather than casual browsers, actually raising the quality of who interacts with your property.

Do buyers really use VR headsets to view these, or is that still a gimmick?

Great point. While the "VR" label exists, 95% of engagement happens on a smartphone or laptop. The "immersion" comes from the interactive control – the ability to walk through at your own pace – not the hardware. You don't need a headset to experience the trust-building benefits.
